A candy-box town

We spent a day in the exceedingly picturesque walled city of Campeche. Mexico seems to be crawling with UNESCO World Heritage sites, and this is one of them. See for yourself:

    I’m intrigued by the pic of the house fronts with the ruined space behind. Were there many areas like this in town?

      I don’t know! I only saw those because we were on the part of the city walls that is still standing. It was very cool. The houses looked like any other from the street.
